Faulk and Meek has completed over ten Panera Bread Bakery-Cafés for me. Whether it is a brand new ground-up store, a shell build out or a renovation of an existing location, Faulk & Meek never fails to deliver quality, professional, and cost effective results. Faulk & Meek’s professionalism through communication, teamwork and safety has made each of these projects a positive work experience and I look forward to completing several more locations in the near future.

Faulk and Meek completed construction for an extensive church renovation for which our architectural firm performed design services. I found John and David's work ethic to be exemplary throughout this project. I found John to be very conscientious about the work his company was performing. He was respective of our design and did not "cut corners" in order to make the work easier. He was proactive in offering solutions for unforeseen conditions during the course of demolition and renovations. Faulk and Meek often went beyond expectations in performing work and managing their subcontractors and vendors in a professional manner. John and his team also worked well in coordinating with the Owner's separate contractors for organ work, bell system work and other specialized restoration work. I found Faulk and Meek's administrative efforts to be very organized and always responsive in a timely manner. I am proud to mention that the St. John the Baptist project was awarded the Gold Rose Award from the AIA Baton Rouge Chapter this past July. I believe that Faulk and Meek played an important role in our firm having been awarded this honor.

Construction of our church began on February 1, 2010, with a scheduled completion date of March 2011. Throughout the duration of this project we had outstanding cooperation from John Meek and his entire crew. Our church was originally built in 1907, so we were working with a structure that was over 100 years old. In addition to renovating the original building and adding on to the original structure, our plans called for adding a new annex to be connected to the original church. As you might guess, a project of this magnitude is not without issues. We are very pleased to say that Faulk and Meek worked very diligently to help satisfy us and to resolve each issue that arose. Their fortitude and professional attitudes continued to keep everyone on task and the product they delivered to us has become one of the most noticed buildings in our community and the surrounding area. It is indeed a facility that we are all extremely proud. The church was recently recognized at the state and regional level by being awarded a gold medal at the annual Rose Awards of the AIA of Baton Rouge.
I take great pleasure in recommending Faulk and Meek for any project and invite you to visit our church to see the magnificent work of Faulk and Meek and their subcontractors.

Faulk and Meek came highly recommended and they lived up to their reputation. The quality of their work was excellent and they had a complete understanding of the scope of our project. Since the nature of this project involved the construction of a building next to an operating business, they had to be sensitive to our need and the needs of our clients. The project was completed on time and is functioning just as we had anticipated. I would highly recommend John Meek and his staff.

I have never written an unsolicited letter in praise of a contractor. In fact, if I am writing a letter to a contractor, it probably is not a good sign. However, in this case, with the completion of the new Louisiana State University’s Football Operation Facility, you have performed in such a stellar fashion that I am compelled to send this letter of thanks.
Your Managerial style with the project as a whole and the way in which you personally worked with the sub-contractors, was wonderful. I m sure the University and Tiger Athletic Foundation is as happy as HKS, and if at ANY time in the future we can work together again, we would welcome the opportunity!
Jonathan Kelly, Architect for HKS
The work involved in this contract (zoological exhibit construction) is much more difficult than most general contract work and involved the coordination of many local subs and three out-of-state subs doing specialty work. Faulk & Meek provided outstanding coordination and management of all aspects of the work and maintained an outstanding working relationship with the subcontractors, the architect, and the owner from start to finish. They were very diligent not only to assure all material and workmanship on the project met or exceeded contract requirements, but also that the finished project reflected the intent of the project designers. The change orders for this project were low (3.2% of contract total) and generally reflected change in scope requested by the owner. I would rate Faulk & Meek in the top 5% of all contractors I have worked with in my 38 years as a Landscape Architect doing these types of projects and I would welcome the opportunity to work with them again.

I had the good pleasure of acquainting myself with John Meek in 2006 when he served as project manager on our new church sanctuary in St. Francisville, LA. As project manager, he demonstrated strong leadership and exemplified a high level of professionalism. John ensured that the work of subcontractors exceeded our expectations. Mr. Meek was easy to work with and was very accommodating with change orders, ensuring that our wishes and concerns were addressed. Under John's management, our project was completed on schedule and within the budget. I would have absolutely no reservations working with John on a future project.
Pastor Milton Coats, Magnolia Full Gospel Baptist Church
I take great pleasure in recommending Faulk and Meek for any construction project you may have. St. Aloysius School and Parish have used their services for numerous projects, both new construction and renovations. There were professional, task-oriented, and paid attention to the smallest details. Moreover, they were good listeners and made sure that our voices were heard during the planning process as well as the construction phase.

In my opinion as the Landscape Architect of record for the Stanford Park project and the client, BREC, the services provided by Faulk and Meek were performed ethically and professionally in accordance with the project’s requirements and the expectations desired from a qualified, capable general contractor. Faulk and Meek, along with their sub-contractors, met the expectations for performance while maintaining the project schedule. Their team and leadership communicated well with us and the clients, complied with the plans and specifications on this project, and provided a quality built product. I would recommend Faulk and Meek General Contractors for any upcoming projects.”

Hiring Faulk & Meek for the Chi Omega House renovation was the best decision we made. Their employees were extremely professional and easygoing. They kept the space very clean and completed the work ahead of schedule. Faulk & Meek’s prior experience working on the LSU campus proved very valuable to us.

“It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation of John Meek. His firm Faulk & Meek General Contractors completed a project for me while I was President of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority House Corporation at Louisiana State University. John was the Project Manager for our project, and he was always very attentive, knowledgeable, and willing to give additional estimates on proposed items. He communicated well with the Committee and the House Manager so that they were informed about all aspects of the project.
Our timeline was short, but John with Faulk & Meek kept the sub-contractors on pace so that the project could be completed on time. That was very important, as the students move back into the sorority house in early August.
I found Faulk & Meek to be very efficient and highly professional. I was especially pleased with John Meek's attention to detail and management skills. The Committee would certainly agree to request bids from the Faulk and Meek General Construction firm for any future construction projects.

On the LSU Chi Omega project, I served as the liaison between House Corporation, the contractor Faulk & Meek, and the interior designer. There were two important factors when we started our project: (1) to complete the job during the summer for the Chi O house to be completely ready for Recruitment and to stay in our budget! Faulk and Meek gave us a time line at the beginning of the project and everything went as scheduled. That is almost unheard of when dealing with a remolding job of this size with numerous subcontractors involved! Whenever there were any additions to the original work specified in our contract, Faulk and Meek would get us a price with an addendum to the contract for our signature. This allowed us to follow the entire job costs and there were no surprises at the end of the job! I thoroughly enjoyed working with all of the team from Faulk & Meek.
